I have spent a third of my life behind bars, at Federal Correctional Institution Lompoc. During that time, I found my passion for cooking while serving my sentence and took every opportunity to learn from the experienced cooks in the prison kitchen to meticulously hone and perfect my recipes and especially, my Boss Coast prison hot sauce. After some time, word began to spread about my cooking skills among the inmates, and I began to receive requests to serve as a personal chef. I started accepting these offers, and soon I was cooking meals for inmates on a regular basis.
After my release, I started experimenting with different recipes and discovered a love for creating unique and flavorful hot sauces. Drawing inspiration from my time in prison, I developed my signature Boss Coast prison hot sauce, which quickly became a fan favorite.
Since then, I’ve launched several other hot sauce varieties, each with their own distinct flavor profile.
I’m committed to using the highest quality ingredients and crafting each bottle of hot sauce with care, which are made in small batches to preserve the authenticity. I’m proud to have turned my passion for cooking into a successful business and look forward to continuing to innovate and expand my product line.
